Dr. Delmar Gillespie of St. Paul was elevated to the MMA presidency. Dr. Gillespie, who completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in 1942, has been vice president – May 29, 1969 Rochester, Minnesota.

Apparently there is a large group of Gillespies in St Paul, Minnesota who are tracing their Irish roots back to Co Sligo. See report in 2021 in IrishCentral.
